Contradiction

Refute against the claim

Cathy says Charlie and the chocolate factory doesn't fit the defination of Cinderella story. However, I don't think so. The other 4 kids are all punished by Willy Wonka. We can guess, if they also pass the test then Charlie has no chioce to gain the factory. The other four kids certainly want to prevent anyone else to win the game, but they fail. Similarly, Cinderella's step mother and bad sister also want to prevent Cinderella, but they fail, too. The result is Cinderella goes to the party and meet the prince.
The second point is in Charlie and chocolate factory Charilie don't have the prince or mate. The prince or the mate is a kind of person who can identify the beautiful characters from Cinderella. And Willy Wonka also has this ability to find good characters from Charlie. And mate gives Cinderella a happy life. Willy Wonka also gives Charlie a happy life.
In a conclusion, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is fit the defination of Cinderella story.

Response to faking it
The article is about a man as father and husband. This story is begin with a towel racks' fixing. Through his fixing, he thinks of some things in the past. He thinks about his father who never showed his weakness. His father is so confident that the author dare not saying the mistakes.
The author is also influenced by his father, but he is better than his father. In an emergency, his family was trapped by the snowstorm. He tries his best to drive away from the difficult position. He wants to protect his wife and his children. However he doesn't tell his kids what happened, because he doesn't want to scare them. And he should build a hero in his children's mind.
If you know, you should say you know that. But if you don't know, you had better say you don't know. Although faking it will not lose face and change the impression, it might lead to some terrible things happen because of your bumptious. So it is important to be honest and tell the truth.

Human

After I read the discussion, I know they were talk about human being.
First of all, they argued with if the dolls are considered to be the human. They thought dolls have legs and arms. Dolls also look like human.
Then they turn to the X-Men. These strange men can talk, walk and eat. They have eyes, noses, mouths also the hands and the feet. But they have some differences compared with human. For example, they may be blue. Maybe they can fly and transform. In the end, they came out a conclusion that X-Men are not human beings.
At last, they talked about the runner who wears prostheic legs that some people say actuallly increase his speed. The government banned him from competition.

Rhodopis
  1. I don’t think our story has magic, because no birds or other animal helped her to meet her need. I think it was coincidence like the story said that it was God Horus’s sign. However, the falcon helped her change her life. It snatched one of the slippers and drop it to Pharaoh, so here is the transition.
  2. Rhodopis wet her slippers by accident, so she put them under the sun to dry. I don’t know if it was unfortunately, the falcon took one of the red shoes away. And it was dropped on Pharaoh’s lap by chance.
  3. I like reading stories, so I do have seen this kind of transition. For example, I read a story called Puss in Boots. The little boy only got a cat from his father’s legacy, but the cat can talk so the cat asked for a pair of boots. Then the cat helped him attract king’s attention gradually. It used its brain to beat enchanter, to trade with people. Finally he married the prince and the lived happily ever after. Also an animal changed the boy’s life.
  4. I like the transition. This is fairy tale. Everything can happen. I also want people who are kind but be bullied have a happy ending. If there is no transition, these poor girl would be bullied forever. And the bad people won’t be punished. However, many stories have transition to change people’s life. This is what we want to see.
